Registered originally as a partnership under the name Jimeno and Associates — an all-female law firm – the firm is now called JIMENO COPE & DAVID LAW OFFICES with business address at 37th Floor, Rufino Pacific Tower 6784 Ayala Avenue cor. V.A. Rufino St., Makati City.
It is a full-service law firm engaged in the practice of the major fields of law such as corporate, labor, litigation of civil, criminal or administrative cases, family relations, estate settlement, immigration, trademarks and patents as well as special projects involving joint ventures, tie-up or close coordination with government instrumentalities.
It was first established in 1990, occupying a small office space and gradually grew to a medium-sized law firm.
It was founded by Attorney Rita Linda V. Jimeno who trained in the firm of Barcelona Perlas and Academia, first as an associate until she became a junior partner.
The inspiration behind its creation
When Linda Jimeno founded the firm her initial vision was to establish an all-female firm slugging it out in courts with the then predominantly male world of court litigation. It turned out to be not an easy and smooth path as female associates would get married, take maternity leaves and devote more time to rearing a family.
It was then or on April 5, 1995 that she partnered with Attorneys Mario Jalandoni, Antonio C. Cope and her own husband who came from the firm of Angel C. Cruz. They then started hiring associates. The firm came to be known as Jimeno Jalandoni Cope & Associates Law Offices.
When Atty. Jalandoni left to focus on business endeavors, the most senior and qualified among the associates, Atty. Michael E. David, was promoted as partner. The firm became Jimeno Cope David & Associates Law Offices since May 2007 up to the present.
